From the Artist:  Black Percheron gelding "Chet" was a perfect example of the "old-style" Percheron. He was life-long teammate to "Sam" and was the herd boss. He was fiercely protective of his herd, yet known for his gentleness among children, very intelligent and a hard worker.  He passed in spring of 2010 and remains close to our hearts. This was a tribute to him. This painting was featured on the "Ritchie Waterers" product magazine cover.
